Recently, I went through some old family photos my mom brought to my house to pass along the family's history. It was pretty incredible to see photos of late relatives dating back as far as the 1800s and to imagine what life was like for them. It was also really amazing for me to see how my grandfather looked so much like himself as a baby and how my mom and I looked almost identical as children. The every day snapshots that may not have even had any artistic intention at the time but for me, now, meant something beautiful for my family's documented history. This is part of what we leave behind.

We live in Chicago but any chance we get to visit the Denver area, I make sure to schedule a photo shoot with Elise.She is a leader in her field. She captures genuine moments of our real family.
